• Welcome Our New Parks and Recreation Director!    

  Hello Acton! I’m Tim Michalski, and I’m thrilled to be joining the Town as your new Director of Parks and Recreation. To me, parks and recreation has always been about creating spaces and places where families gather, kids grow confidence, neighbors connect, and memories are made. With more than 20 years of experience in recreation, aquatics, camps, and community programming, I’ve seen firsthand how strong parks and recreation systems help shape great towns. I’m excited to meet residents, listen to ideas, collaborate with community partners, and support the incredible work already happening here. Acton is a community with a deep appreciation for the outdoors, active lifestyles, and togetherness, and I can’t wait to work with all of you to continue building places and experiences where our community can work, grow, play, and thrive together.

  More special events to look forward to include a Touch a Truck, Great American Campout, Pridefest, Marionette Show, Monsterbash and Acton Fall Fest.
   
  We invite music lovers, families, and visitors to join us for unforgettable summer evenings filled with vibrant entertainment, community spirit, and exceptional artistry. We look forward to welcoming everyone as we celebrate another year of artistic excellence and cultural unity.
• VOLUNTEER PROGRAM HOSTS 
  
  Do you have a skill, hobby, or passion you'd love to share with the community? The Acton Recreation Department is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to host a variety of programs — from athletics and yoga to painting, crafts, and everything in between. Whether you're a seasoned instructor or simply passionate about something you'd like to teach, we'd love to hear from you!
