**Program Description: Intro to Floor Hockey for Grades 2-5**

**Overview:**
Join us for an exciting introduction to floor hockey, designed for students in grades 2 through 5! This program aims to teach the fundamentals of floor hockey in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. Participants will learn essential skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while enjoying a fast-paced and exhilarating sport.

**Program Goals:**
- To introduce participants to the basic rules and skills of floor hockey.
- To develop hand-eye coordination, team collaboration, and physical fitness.
- To foster a love for sports and active play through engaging drills and games.

**Key Components:**
1. **Skill Development:**
- Stick handling and ball control
- Passing and shooting techniques
- Defensive strategies and positioning

2. **Game Understanding:**
- Overview of floor hockey rules and safety guidelines
- Understanding game structure: periods, goals, and teamwork

3. **Team Play:**
- Emphasis on cooperation and communication on and off the floor
- Participation in scrimmages to apply skills in real game scenarios

4. **Physical Fitness:**
- Encouraging physical activity through drills and games
- Building endurance, agility, and coordination

**Program Details:**
- **Duration:** 6 weeks
- **Day of the Week:** Tuesdays
- **Time:** 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- **Location:** Acton Rec Center, 50 Audubon Drive, Acton
- **Equipment:** Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing and sneakers. Hockey sticks, goals, and balls will be provided.
