Water Wise Workshops are a series of four workshops on environmental science for children ages 5 – 10. Through discussions, demonstrations, experiments, hands-on activities and games, the participants are encouraged to examine their relationships with the environment and build upon their knowledge about the natural world. In addition to providing environmental education, the workshops seek to raise awareness of the effect of simple human actions in watershed ecosystems and encourage participants to make positive environmental impacts in their daily lives. By providing hands-on experience in local environments, the workshops strive to make these messages of environmental stewardship understandable, relevant, and accessible to children.
