PILATES / STRETCH MAT (ONLINE)
Pilates Mat is appropriate for everyone. We focus on core, posture, alignment, balance, back and abs, breath, letting go of tightness while we welcome stretching, releasing tension, strengthening, breathing fully and inviting peace into our lives. This class is done primarily on the floor, with some standing. Exercise at your own pace. We wind down with a gentle cool down, stretch and relaxation phase. Come take a break and re-energize!
Classes will be taught through ZOOM.
Preparation for Pilates classes:
- A small clear floor space (for your mat, optional) and space around you for free movement - yoga block OR thickly rolled up towel OR small thick pillow - towel, rolled up - wall, wider than shoulder width - optional: tennis balls. 2-4. If you need some, let Yvonne know. She can give you some. - optional: resistance band for increased intensity - bare feet or grippy socks are best.
Be grateful for what you CAN do and keep exercising to improve your overall fitness level! So come to exercise class, feel good and get stronger in spirit, mind and body! Your workout should always be Safe First, then add challenge, if you wish!
